The camp RapidFire had some thrilling nightlife. It was all lanterns in the night, no electricity. There was a bonfire around which everyone sat and chatted while the tinkle of the adjacent river was soothing music to the ears. There were soft drinks and some snacks too (peanuts; later conspiracy theories were floated that peanuts were served to suppress our hunger, LOL!).
We also played Antakshari or just chatted in the night. Captain Vivek ensured that we slept early or else not many of us were inclined to miss the nightlife at the camp by sleeping!
One night I was awake until 3:30 AM as I sat by the bonfire all alone. I even found wine bottles near it so I guess people (probably the group from the IIM-A) had a rocking nightlife. The pics are lacking in more ways than one thanks to the dirt on the lens and my desire to use minimum flash to save battery (there was no way to recharge batteries there)!
Early morning view!
Antakshari in progress! Our tents in the background lit by the lanterns!
That’s my tent! My bed on the left. My tent mate was Captain Vivek but he never slept in this tent thanks to some urgency. So I had a single-seater all to myself there too!
I captured the moon at 2.54 AM when I was sitting all alone by the bonfire.
